Everton prepared to pay £25m for Hakim Ziyech

A source at Sky Sports claims Everton are ready to pay £25m for Hakim Ziyech before the transfer window closes in six days.

Ziyech is among the attackers Chelsea are said to be willing to sell after signing a number of talented forwards in the past few months.

The Moroccan forward joined Chelsea in 2020 for €40m from Ajax. Unfortunately, he's not totally convinced the Blues faithful since that mega-money move.

Ziyech is yet to score for Chelsea this season after 15 games and has managed 14 strikes in his 98 games for the Blues.

But during the World Cup Ziyech was astonishing and helped guide the Carthage Eagles to the semi-final. He's shown glimpses of that form for Chelsea after his return from Qatar but with the arrival of Joao Felix, Noni Madueke and Mykhailo Mudryk it's likely that Ziyech spends some more time on the bench if he doesn't jump ship.

The challenge for Ziyech is that he will be moving from competing for a top side in the Champions League to battling to avoid relegation from the Premier League if he joins Everton. The Toffees are currently seated 19th on the league table. Their poor form prompted the sacking of Chelsea legend Frank Lampard. Hence, Ziyech won't even get to work with his former Chelsea boss.
