Former Barcelona and Brazil footballer Dani Alves could be sentenced to 12 years in prison for sexual harassment, Marca report.
If the 39-year-old footballer is found guilty, the sentence will range from four to 12 years. Alves had previously been imprisoned in Spain for harassing a girl at a nightclub.
Mexican club Pumas, for which the Brazilian recently played, has terminated his contract.
Alves, who turns 40 in May, played for Barcelona from 2008 to 2016 before returning to play in the 2021/22 season. As part of the Blue Garnet, he became six-time Spanish champion, three-time Champions League winner, four-time Spanish Cup winner.
