OVERVIEW 

Jesus began his career at Palmeiras, where he was voted the best Newcomer at the 2015 Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A, he also won the Copa do Brasi. In the year 2016, he won the Bola de Ouro as he helped Palmeira to win their first national League title after 22 years they stopped winning it. 

Gabriel Jesus later signed with the English club known as Manchester City in January 2017 in a transfer worth €27 million, he won four Premier League titles, that is three EFL Cups and one FA Cup, that was in July 2022, later on Gabriel Jesus joined Arsenal in a deal worth of €45 million.

Jesus played so well that he won 21 caps and scored seven goals at the youth level, which made him reach the final of the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup, he also won an Olympic gold medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics.  Gabriel Jesus made his first debut for Brazil in September 2016, which led to him becoming part of the squad that took part in the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Later he also participated in Copa America in the year 2019 and also 2021, in which he won the former tournament.
 

His early Career

Gabriel Jesus was in São Paulo, he grew up in the neighbourhood of Jardim Peri. He played street football before joining amateur clubs in the region.

Palmeiras 

On 1 July 2013, Jesus signed a youth contract with Palmeiras. He was also the club’s top goalscorer during the year, scoring 54 goals in 48 matches.
  
Jesus scored 37 goals in 22 games for Palmeiras in the year 2014 edition of the state under-17 championship, which leads to different offers from clubs throughout the country and abroad. He was the first to be included in Palmeiras’ squad for a senior match on 27 August 2014. Jesus made his senior debut on 7 March 2015 in the season’s Campeonato Paulista where he replaced Leandro Pereira in the 73rd minute of a 1-0 win over CA Bragantino at Allian Parque

Jesus made his first career start on the 29th of April which was in the second Leg of the second round of the year’s cup, and it was a 1-1 draw at Sampaio Correa Futebol Clube (6-2). Then on the 9th of May, Jesus played and made his first appearance in the Next round of the Cup, which was away to Agremiacao Sportiva Arapiraquense on the day of 15 July. Jesus finished the campaign with four goals from 20 games, and his team defeated Club Santos to win the cup. He played from the beginning of the match but being that he had a shoulder injury he was substituted before half-time. He was later selected as the best Newcomer in the league In the opening game of the national season to Clube Atletico Paranaense at home which was on the 14th of May, Gabriel Jesus scored twice in the second half of a 4-0 win. He scored 12 goals for the team and they won the first national championship since 1994, this made them named Bola de Ouro for player of the season for their outstanding performance.

Manchester City (2018)

3rd of August 2016, it was brought to notice that Jesus would sign for Premier League club Manchester City. Manchester City paid a reported fee of €27 million with the additional add-ons. The transfer was completed on 19 January 2017. Jesus made his first Premier League appearance on 21 January, coming in the 82nd minute of the game, he was substituted for Raheem Sterling in a 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur at the city of Manchester Stadium.
 
Jesus scored the last premier League goal in the 2017-2018 season against Southampton in the 94th minute, he secure City a League record of 100 points. On the 3rd of August 2018, Jesus signed a contract extension with Manchester City, to play until 2023. Gabriel Jesus scored for his first four goals on 9 January 2019 against Burton Albion in a 9-0 victory.  

Arsenal

On the 4th of July 2022, Gabriel Jesus signed a long-term contract with Arsenal, and he was given the number 9 shirt. It was recorded that the Brazilian signed a five years contract on a deal worth £45 million deal. On the 5th of August, Jesus made his club debut in a 2-0 away win against Crystal Palace which was in the Premier League. In the same August, in his second match and first at the Emirates, he scored his first and second competitive goals against Leicester City and also with a help of an assistance in a 4-2 win.
