'He's got a footballing brain above everybody': Potter full of praise for Thiago Silva
"Thiago Silva has got a footballing brain above everybody pretty much, because of how long he’s played at the highest level, the players he’s played with and against, his references are so strong," Graham Potter said after the game.
"Benoit Badiashile, it was only his second game in the Premier League, surely benefits from playing alongside Thiago Silva. Everyone does.
"He’s a leader off the pitch, on the pitch, and a really important player."
Thiago Silva has been arguably Chelsea's best player so far this season. He was excellent again against Liverpool in a 0-0 draw, winning three ground and two aerial duels, completing nine passes into the final third and making 112 touches.
