"I Don't Think Partey Is Good Enough": Rio Ferdinand Reveals Why Casimero is Better Than Thomas Partey

Former England and Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand believes Casimero is a better player than Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey.

The two midfielders have been in the news for all the right reasons, following their starring roles for their respective clubs in the ongoing season.

Fans on social media have been left divided over who the best defensive midfielder is in the English Premier League, with Casimero and Partey the main names often popping up.

However, according to the Manchester United legend the statistics favour the Brazilian and shows why Casimero is a much better.

"I think the importance to their teams...you could argue both sides quite equally. But then, when you through the stats in Casemiro wipes him away," he said on his Vibes With Five Podcast as quoted by Daily Mail.

"No, no no. I don't think Partey is good enough defensively to do what Casemiro is doing," he added.

"I don't think he has the impact defensively for Man United, on the ball he's doing more."

Meanwhile, Ferdinand insists Partey's passing ability and range is his main strength.

"On the ball, he's doing more. He's dictating play, man for Arsenal," said Ferdinand.

"He's actually playing passes I didn't know he had. His passing has been unbelievable."

Both players will square up on Sunday in the English Premier League when Manchester United travel to the Emirates to face the league leaders.
