If Erling Haaland eases up on goals, Arsenal wins the league and Odegaard continues like this, he is my player of the year," Manchester United legend and TV analyst Rio Ferdinand said on the Vibe with Five podcast.
"I only see Odegaard leaving Arsenal if it is for Barcelona," he added.
Odegaard has definitely been one of the best players in Europe this season, recording 8 goals and 6 assists in 24 matches for the Gunners.
Xavi would no doubt welcome the 24-year-old with open arms at Barcelona, but his past at Real Madrid, contract until 2025 and €60m valuation would complicate the move.
