"I want to beat Arsenal" Arsenal will destroy us if play like happy flowers': Pep Guardiola
Speaking to the BBC after the game against Tottenham on Thursday, Pep Guardiola said: "I want guts, passion, fire to win from minute one. The same with the fans. They are silent for 45 minutes. I want my fans back.
"I want a reaction from the whole organisation. Not just the players." I want our fans to push us. Demand more. Say 'come on guys'. Show us more. We are a happy flowers team, all nice and good. I don't want to be a happy flower.
"I want to beat Arsenal. If we play that way Arsenal will destroy us. We have an opponent in Arsenal who have the fire, almost two decades without winning the Premier League. I am explaining reality. Everything is so comfortable at City but opponents don't wait."
Manchester City came back from 2–0 down to beat Tottenham 4–2 at home in the Premier League on Thursday, scoring all four goals in the second half.
Guardiola's side are still second in the Premier League table with 42 points from 19 games, five points below Arsenal who still have a game in hand.
