When asked about Andy Robertson’s claims that Liverpool have gotten worse from last year, Jurgen Klopp said: “It’s not 100 per cent true but it’s not 100 per cent wrong.
“Of course we wanted a new start, that was clear after the World Cup. So far it hasn’t happened properly, that’s true. That means we have to keep working, there’s nothing else you can do. There were good performances today as well, good moments which we need to build on.”
Liverpool have struggled in 2023 so far, just winning one of their last six games since the turn of the new year.
With the Reds out of two cup competitions, Klopp will hope to pick them up and motivate them to perform strongly in the Champions League as well as help them have a solid finish to the Premier League season.
