La Liga inform Barca that they cannot register new Gavi contract

Barcelona have received a negative response from La Liga regarding Gavi's new contract, RAC1 and Mundo Deportivo report.

RAC1 report that the Catalans cannot register the youngster's new contract because -- while having enough margin in their wage bill -- do not have enough savings for next season and is breaching La Liga regulations.

Mundo Deportivo add that Gavi will have to continue under the new conditions until the summer when Barca could sell some of their players to improve the financial situation.
