Rhys Williams has been recalled from his loan at Blackpool, Liverpool's official website confirms.
The centre-back made 17 appearances for the Championship club before his loan was cut short.
As a player with some first-team experience (19 games in the 2020-21 season), he now might replace Nat Phillips as a depth option at centre-back.
Phillips has been linked with a move away for a few transfer windows, but no permanent deal materialised. Williams' recall may suggest that this could change this month.
