'You wouldn't want to be up against him': Roy Keane details Marcus Rashford's transformation into 'fighting machine'

Speaking on Sky Sports, Roy Keane said: "Over the last few years Marcus Rashford played a lot of games for Manchester United, big games for England, and sometimes the penny drops for a player in terms of his decision-making and putting the ball in the back of the net. They've kind of needed him.

"This is the question mark I've had over Marcus the last few years — has he got that personality to step up to the plate? I think Man United need someone like that and I hope Marcus is saying 'listen, I want that responsibility to be the main man.' There's been question marks so stick your chest out.

"Now Marcus looks like he's enjoying that responsibility which is great to see. You look at him physically, he looks lean. You wouldn't want to be up against him. If you're a full-back and he’s running at you, all the best. When Marcus is running at you all the best, he looks like a proper, lean fighting machine."

Rashford has scored 18 goals across all competitions for Man United so far this season, establishing himself as a key player under Erik ten Hag.

The 25-year-old will be hoping to maintain his explosive form over the new few months as the Red Devils look to compete both at home and in Europe.
