Antonio Conte called Harry Kane with Special Message after he became Tottenham's record goalscorer

Kane struck his 267th goal for Spurs to move one ahead of the legendary Jimmy Greaves and also notched his 200th in the Premier League.

Conte was not on the touchline for the victory after undergoing gallbladder surgery, with assistant Cristian Stellini taking charge of the fixture.

Speaking to Kane over the phone in the dressing room, Conte could be heard telling the England skipper, “You make me so proud”.

Kane had a special presentation in front of his fans at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and couldn't hide his delight.

“To do it in front of the fans is a special moment," Kane told Sky Sports.

"There has been so much talk about it, I just wanted to get it done. So, to do it in a big game against one of the best teams in the world is special.

"When I started playing regularly, it wasn’t even in my imagination to score 200 Premier League goals. To be there now is exciting and I’ve got plenty of years left, so there will be a few more to come.”

Teammate Heung-Min Son backed "very hungry" Kane to break the Premier League goals record, with the 29-year-old 60 goals away from Alan Shearer's tally.

His first strike for Spurs came against Shamrock Rovers in 2011 before going on to get off the mark in the Premier League three years later.

But he had "one season wonder" taunts to contend with after his stunning breakthrough 2014/15 campaign, where he bagged 21 goals.
