Chelsea's plans potential goalkeeper signing amid Kepa and Mendy battle
Chelsea are currently not discussing the possibility of signing another goalkeeper right now, as per Fabrizio Romano.
He wrote on his CaughtOffside column: “The answer I get is that it is way too early to say who’s going to be the Chelsea goalkeeper next season.
“They want to protect Kepa and Mendy now, then a decision will be made at the end of the season. Chelsea are linked with two goalkeepers per week but there’s nothing decided, this is their position as of now.”
The Blues have been linked with a number of goalkeepers recently, including Brentford no.1 David Raya. With Edouard Mendy ruled out for a long time with an injury and yet to sign a new contract, Chelsea might look to sell him and sign a new quality goalkeeper in the summer.
Kepa Arrizabalaga remains the no.1 at Chelsea and has kept 9 clean sheets in 19 appearances this season.
