Indeed, while Erik ten Hag's side walked away from Old Trafford with another three points, courtesy of a 3-0 victory over the Foxes, the punter in question ended up empty-handed by the barest of margins.
In a now-viral Twitter post, Josh Rothwell shared a screenshot of his five-pound 'bet-builder', which contained seven different predictions.
Remarkably, only one of these predictions failed to come to fruition, which was Sabitzer being booked, so Rothwell certainly has every right to feel aggrieved.
What was punter's bet for Man United vs Leicester game?
Given Marcus Rashford is in such incredible scoring form at the moment, it's no surprise that the punter bet on the Englishman to score – which he did, twice.
Aside from that, he also assumed Nampalys Mendy and Wout Faes would be booked, James Maddison and Bruno Fernandes would have a shot on target and United would win the game.
Had Sabitzer been booked as well then Rothwell would have won £2,661.25 off just a £5 stake.
Pretty gutting to say the least.

Sabitzer avoids red card
With United leading 1-0, Sabitzer caught Foxes defender Faes with a late challenge – catching the Belgian just below the knee with his studs up.
Yet, the incident went unpunished as the Austrian was neither booked or sent off for the challenge, despite it being looked at by VAR official Paul Tierney for serious foul play.
A VAR review cannot award a yellow card if a red has not already been issued, hence the reason Sabitzer was not cautioned.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Graeme Souness stressed that he felt it should've been a red card for Sabitzer.
“This is a red card for several reasons,” Souness said at half-time. “Sabitzer has turned side on to him, it’s a classic case of if you’re going to try and do someone, that’s how you do them – side-on.
“If he makes contact with the ball, what’s he going to do with it? He’s looking for the player, if that’s not dangerous play, what is?”
