Julian Araujo deal at risk of collapse — multiple reports
The winter transfer window in Spain is officially shut, and Barcelona are yet to announce the arrival of Julian Araujo from Los Angeles Galaxy.
According to ESPN's credible Moises Llorens (5 stars), there is a real danger that the move collapses.
The reason for it, Toni Juanmarti (5 stars) reports, is that Barca submitted the official documentation to La Liga a few seconds too late. The transfer had been agreed upon with all parties.
Juanmarti says that the club will take the case to FIFA to see how to proceed next. It seems like there will be more updates throughout the day.
As per prior reports, Barca pacted to sign Araujo on loan with a mandatory buy €5m option. If the move goes through, the right-back will be assigned to Barca Atletic.
