'Lost my respect': some Chelsea fans blast Mount for laughing with opponents after West Ham draw

Mason Mount has always been very popular among the match-going Chelsea supporters, but not so among the fans on social media - and his recent performances do not help him to prove his doubters wrong.

The 24-year-old produced a largely ineffective performance after coming on from the bench in the West Ham game, which does not bode well for him with Joao Felix impressive so far in the No.10 role.

However, it's not only his display that has drawn the ire of some of the fans on Twitter.

After the final whistle, Mount was spotted having a laugh with some of the West Ham players - in contrast to his downbeat teammates after a disappointing result.

Coupled with the uncertainty around Mount's contract talks, some Chelsea fans have had enough.

Mod: "Don’t even piss me off, what is there to laugh about???"

Mario: "always back mount but why is he laughing there ? that’s just disgrace to came off bench & change a game then dropped stinkier & laughing around, get him out the club, simple as"

DhruvCFC: "Look at Enzo looking clearly disappointed with the draw and look at Mount who’s joking around at FT. Disgraceful. Absolutely fuming and I won’t lose any sleep over Mount from now on. He’s lost my respect."

CFCdruw: "I’m not one to throw around negativity towards a player, and I won’t do that, but this is not a good look. Mason Mount’s head is not with Chelsea Football Club at the moment."

Futbol Chelsea: "We should be selling Mason Mount to the highest bidder in the summer. Performances aren't good enough and his attitude is becoming questionable as well."
