Journalist Samuel Luckhurst has reported that United are planning to increase the cost of season tickets at Old Trafford.
"MUFC season ticket prices to rise by 5% next season after being frozen for 11 seasons running," Luckhurst tweeted.
"Club say [the] cost of hosting matches has risen by 40% in last five years and 11% in last 12 months alone.
"[The] increase is ‘necessary to ensure [the] club continues to operate on a sustainable basis’."
