Mason Greenwood hints at Manchester United return after charges against him was dropped
After several hearings, his charges were dropped last week by the court after new evidence emerged and witnesses decided against coming forward to testify.
Despite being freed by the court, Greenwood remains suspended by Manchester United as the club said in a statement last week that they would conduct an internal investigation before taking the next steps.
According to reports, a substantial proportion of Manchester United workforce would be deeply disappointed if Mason Greenwood played for the club again, but others feel a duty of care toward the player.
Some reports also claim that even if Greenwood is allowed back to Old Trafford, the majority of the dressing room doesn’t want him back in the squad this season as they feel his return could foul up everything Erik ten Hag has done so far.
Despite still under suspension by Man United, Mason Greenwood took a bold step by indicating on Instagram that he’s ready to come back to the team.
The 21-year-old forward has removed most of his Insta posts however has left 9 which feature him playing for Manchester United.
He has also deleted his profile picture and made some update in his bio, tagging both @ManUtd and @nikefootball.
Some Manchester United fans believe Greenwood is anticipating his return to playing for the club again but the forward remains suspended by the club at the moment.
