One Newcastle fan has been left devastated after his dog chewed up his Carabao Cup final tickets that arrived in the post.
Die-hard Toon supporter Alan Carling returned home to find his pet dog, Rudy, had seemingly savaged his tickets for the bumper clash in his absence.
The worst part? The poor man had just come back from watching Newcastle get humbled at St.James' Park by Liverpool, and then to find out he may now potentially miss Newcastle's first cup final in 24 years. Talk about a bad day.
Speaking about the incident, Alan wrote on Facebook per the Mirror: "This is my dog Rudy. Rudy is a little b****** of a pup and thinks letters through the post are an invasion of his home.
"After coming back from watching Newcastle lose at home for the first time this season against Liverpool, conceding two goals and having the keeper sent off in the first half.
"Rudy thought he would give me a laugh by eating the Wembley tickets that were posted whilst I was out. Dog for sale, £5 o.n.o."

Now, come on Alan, we know you're annoyed but £5 for a man's best friend?
🎟 #NUFC fan Alan Carling returned home disappointed after the Liverpool game to find his dog Rudy had made the day even worse! His owner came home to his League Cup final tickets, that had arrived earlier through the post, shredded by the dog! 😲😡

When is the Carabao Cup final?
The cup final contested between Newcastle and Manchester United will take place this Sunday, at Wembley Stadium.
Eddie Howe's side have been struggling for form of late, despite occupying a spot in the Champions League places, and will need to find their feet if they want to get the better of Erik ten Hag's United, who are arguably the form team in England right now.
A United win is the outcome seemingly favoured by the bookies too, with the Red Devils near even money to win in 90 minutes. Newcastle, on the other hand, are priced at nearly 13/5.
