'Picked the wrong club': Erling Haaland speaks on 'failed' move to Man United

Erling Haaland says Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is in best position to answer questions over his failed move to Manchester United.

Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher suggested that Haaland "picked the wrong club" after his ineffective display against Tottenham last Sunday.

United were one of numerous clubs who were heavily linked to the powerful attacker before he was snapped up by Man City.

He was well known to ex-boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who worked with him at his old club, Molde, in Norway.

However, Haaland has already hinted that the reason he isn't playing for City's bitter rivals is, surprisingly, Solskjaer himself.

When he was asked by Solskjaer's former teammate Gary Neville why he hadn't joined his compatriot at Old Trafford earlier this season, Haaland simply retorted: "You have to ask him."

Haaland is on track for a record-breaking campaign with 25 league goals in just 20 matches.
