Arsenal picked up a thrilling 4-2 win over Aston Villa to go back to the top of the Premier League table on Saturday.
Jorginho played a major role in that, with his amazing shot leading to Emiliano Martinez’s own goal.
However, some Man City fans believe that Villa were robbed and that the goal should not have been allowed to stand.
They are citing Eddie Nketiah being in an offside position and was blocking Martinez’s view as the shot approached his goal.
VAR definitely had a look at it, but this isn’t big enough to rule out a winning goal.
City fans, however, are still angry as they reacted on Twitter.
Terminator: “Nketiah in an offside position and ducking when Jorginho was about to shoot. Robbery.”
Tonksy: “2 Arsenal players stood offside in front of the goalkeeper when Jorginho shoots. How are they not interfering?”
Chapu92 via Reddit: “LAW 11 – OFFSIDE An attacker in an offside position (A) is obstructing the goalkeeper's line of vision. He must be penalised because he prevents an opponent from playing or being able to play the ball.”
Saul93 via Reddit: “We have to get used to Arsenal getting all 50/50 decisions for the rest of the season. That one error and Arteta's whining means the refs won't risk making an incorrect decision against them.”
