Fc Barcelona's president Joan Laporta has responded to La Liga president Tebas's comment calling him to resign as Barcelona president following the incident with the referee between 2016 to 2018.
In a recent press release by Tebas He said:
"If [Laporta] does not give a reasonable explanation [of the referee payment case], he should resign. He will have to give it," La Liga president Javier Tebas has told the media, via El Mundo."Everyone, even Barcelona themselves, want the case to be investigated.
❗️Joan Laporta: “Tebas wants me to resign but I won't give him a taste of that. He is behind a campaign against Barça and myself. He still hasn’t forgiven us for saying no to CVC and the super league. He has shown his anti-Barça, like in 2005 with Messi”
❗️“Anyone who tries to discredit Barcelona's history will get a strong response back. What we have achieved has cost us a lot of work. Therefore, as the president of this club, I will not allow such attempts to stain our history”
❗️“Tebas knows he can no longer control Barça from a distance like he used to with me. The party is over”
❗️“Tebas wanted us to sign the CVC, an operation he manages. But we sign better deals”
