Speaking in the post-match press conference after Man United won the Carabao Cup, Erik ten Hag said: “I just love Man United.

“Maybe it was a risk (taking this job) but I am stubborn, when I see already our shirt, when I see the bond with the fans, when I see Old Trafford, when I see the legacy Sir Alex left. This is the club for me.”

Ten Hag has proven to be the ideal manager for the Red Devils so far this season, taking them a long way after a difficult start to the campaign.

The gaffer will now hope to only build on this win and ensure his side finishes the season with more than one trophy.
