'We are not going back to Barcelona': Leo Messi's brother

Lionel Messi's brother Matias Messi has revealed that Leo will never return to Barcelona as a player.

Speaking to Martin Minan on Twitch, Matias said:

"I saw a video clip that says ‘Messi should return to Barcelona’ and I said “hahaha, we are not going back to Barcelona, and if we do, we are going to do a good cleaning job. Among them is kicking out Joan Laporta.

“People [in Barcelona] did not support him. They should have gone out for a protest or something, let Laporta leave and Messi stay.

"The Spanish are traitors. I’m saying this because I want it to come out of our mouths,” Matias added.

Messi's contract with PSG runs out at the end of the season with multiple sources claiming he will not extend it.

A return to Barcelona has been mooted but that looks unlikely if we are to believe his brother's recent comment.
