Barcelona reportedly files lawsuits against 5 journalists after investigation finds no evidence of club buying referees

It was reported on Tuesday that the prosecution found no evidence of Barcelona paying referees to gain an advantage in matches. As Joan Laporta claimed, it appears that the whole fuss around the 'Negreira case' was to smear Barcelona's image.

Barça goes on the attack due to the ' Negreira case '. This Wednesday, March 22, the club has filed five lawsuits against different journalists and the media who have tried to damage the image of the Blaugrana club with their information about payments to the former vice president of the CTA.

It is expected that this Thursday another four lawsuits will be presented and there are another five that are in preparation. The objective is to defend above all the reputation of the club and the legitimacy of its sporting successes, which have been constantly questioned since the scandal broke.

At the same time, Barça will set up an email so that all members who wish can send the club information published in the media that they consider likely to be sued. In this way, the blaugrana entity wants to involve the culés fans in the defense of the club in these moments of maximum tension and constant attacks.

At the moment, there is still no date for Joan Laporta's press conference, in which the president must give detailed explanations of the 'Negreira case'. It could be next week, taking advantage of the league break. As Laporta himself announced in a video that he made public before the league classic, Barça plans to defend itself against the attacks that he considers "a campaign to destabilize the team and control the lclub."
