Bayern Munich star Sadio Mane was 'involved in furious bust-up' with Julian Nagelsmann

Sadio Mane was reportedly involved in a furious bust-up with former Bayern Munich boss Julian Nagelsmann.

Nagelsmann was sacked by Bayern in a shock twist of events last week despite leading the side to the quarter-finals of the Champions League and being only one point off first place in the Bundesliga.

Replacing Nagelsmann is former Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel.

Now, according to German news outlet Bild, Nagelsmann and Mane were involved in a heated bust-up after the Champions League last 16 tie against Paris Saint Germain.

It was reported that the Senegal forward was far from happy with Nagelsmann’s decision to wait until the 82nd minute to bring him on.

Bild claimed that Nagelsmann ‘seemed intimidated in a furious dressing room row with Sadio Mane about his lack of game time’.

Since arriving at the Bavarian club from Liverpool in the summer, Mane has struggled to find his best football and a knee injury prior to the 2022 World Cup did not help his course.

So far this season, the 30-year-old has made 28 appearances across all competitions for Bayern, scoring 11 and assisting five.

Mane will hope his fortunes will change under new boss Tuchel, who expressed his excitement after being appointed Bayern boss.

He said: “It's an honour and a distinction to be asked by Bayern Munich.

“I've been in very close contact with Bayern before. But back then I couldn't wait. It would never be appropriate to pressure anyone. Things went very quickly this time, it's a top solution for me.

“Even when you work abroad for a while, you become even more aware of the importance of FC Bayern. It's one of the biggest clubs in Europe and the world.”

Tuchel’s first match in charge of the club will a huge clash against his old club Dortmund on Saturday.
