Manchester United charged by FA over player conduct in Fulham tie

Manchester United have been charged by the Football Association for players failing to conduct themselves in an orderly fashion around referees in the 3-1 win over Fulham.

An FA statement read: “Manchester United FC has been charged after its players surrounded a match official during the 71st minute of the FA Cup tie against Fulham FC on Sunday 19 March.

“It’s alleged that Manchester United FC failed to ensure its players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and/or do not behave in a way which is improper.

“Manchester United FC has until Monday 27 March to respond.”

Fulham were leading 1-0 till Willian's handball which led to an explosion among the players. In quick succession, Willian, Aleksandar Mitrovic and manager Marco Silva were shown red cards.

United players were also part of the chaos, leading to our fifth charge by the FA in 2022/23 so far.
