Barcelona are sweating over the fitness condition of some of their key players as the season gradually approaches its climax. Now let's take a look at those players and when they are expected to make a full recovery.
Pedri (hamstring). The midfielder suffered the injury against Manchester United last month and hasn't appeared for Barca since. After seemingly recovering well enough to be named in Spain's squad for their Euro qualifiers, the teenager suffered a relapse and has been ruled out for another month.
Expected return date: 26th April - Rayo v Barca
Andreas Christensen (calf). The Dane was Barca's first casualty from the international break picking up a calf injury after just 18 minutes in Demark's game against Finland. Barcelona have confirmed that Christensen may be out for a few weeks pending his recovery.
Expected return date: 16th April - Getafe v Barcelona
Ronald Araujo (fatigue). The Uruguayan suffered muscle fatigue during El Clasico and that's why he didn't travel to play for Uruguay during the international break. However, the big defender is likely to miss about two weeks of action which means Barca can count on him for El Clasico.
Expected return date: 5th April - Barca v Real Madrid
Frenkie De Jong (hamstring). The Dutchman was another casualty from the last Clasico. Thus, he was ruled out of Holland's squad for their Euro qualifiers. The midfielder's problem was confirmed to be hamstring-related but according to the Netherlands medical team Frenkie simply needs to rest.
Expected return date: April 1st - Elche v Barca
Ousmane Dembele (hamstring). Dembouz is the Barca player who has spent the most time on the treatment table among those mentioned here - the Frenchman has not played since January 28. But the good news is that Dembele has recovered well enough to train personally on the grass. But he's still doubtful for Barca's next two games.
