According to Relevo as corroborated by The Athletic, Real Madrid players are convinced that Gavi is protected by referees which explains his behaviour during matches.
A case in point against Gavi is the incident that happened last night in which he was seen barging into Real Madrid's Dani Ceballos unprovoked.

Many players in the Real Madrid dressing room believe that Gavi does not show sportsmanship, especially in the episode involving Ceballos, per Real Madrid source Mario Certegana.
However, Real Madrid seems to have forgotten about Ceballos pulling Gavi's hair during El Clasico in January.
Gavi has already been suspended after picking up five yellow cards this season. The teenager managed to avoid picking up another yellow in El Clasico.
