Sevilla have confirmed the sacking of head coach Jorge Sampaoli with just a month left before the Europa League quarter-final against Manchester United.
The Spanish side terminated Sampaoli's contract after a 2-0 loss to Getafe on Sunday. That was their fifth defeat in last seven games across competitions.
Sevilla are experiencing a tough time in La Liga this term as they find themselves just two points above the relegation zone.
A club statement revealed they are 'already working on recruiting a new coach as soon as possible'.
Sevilla will travel to Old Trafford for the first leg of the quarter-final on Thursday, April 13. United will then visit the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium the following Thursday for the second leg.
