'Still lots to do’: Potter gives honest assessment of his first season as Chelsea manager

Speaking on how he’s felt about his time as Chelsea manager so far this season, Graham Potter said: “In terms of stability, togetherness, spirit in the group, that’s been a real positive over this tough period of weeks and months.

“A unique season, before the World Cup was crazy with the intensity of the games and then the injuries we were picking up. The transfer window has added more noise to us. But at the same time we’ve got a young group who are coming together and performing together well.

“Saturday's performance was a positive one, Dortmund was a positive one. But still lots to do.”

Chelsea have had a really topsy-turvy period under Potter so far, which has been full of highs and lows. However, the Englishman has helped the Blues get to the Champions League quarter-final – even though they’ve had a really poor Premier League season.

Potter will hope to pick up his side’s form after the international break and ensure they can at least end the season on a high note.
