“I think Real Madrid are the favourite to win the game," Xavi said in his press conference ahead of El Clasico.
"They are the league champions and also the last winner of the Champions League. Despite the Super Copa, I think Real Madrid are the favourite," Xavi added.
The Barca manager went on heap praises on Real Madrid attacker Vinicius Jr.
“Vinicius makes the difference," Xavi said. "He is an exceptional player and he scores goals. He is a player to be watched, he is at a very high level.
"I think the game against Madrid will be decided at Camp Nou. This is a golden opportunity to win the trophy," the gaffer added.
Barcelona beat Real Madrid 3-1 the last time met - it was in the Spanish Super Cup final which turned out to be Xavi's first trophy as Barca manager.
