Atletico Madrid make approach for Dani Ceballos signing - his stance clarified

Atletico Madrid approached Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos over the possibility of joining them next summer, claims The Athletic.

The Los Rojiblancos’ representatives personally reached out to the Spanish midfielder to discuss a possible deal.

However, Ceballos was quick to turn down advances from them as he does not want to join Real’s arch-rivals.

Atletico had tried to sign him a few years ago as well, only for Ceballos to reject them at that point as well.

The Spanish midfielder’s current deal is set to expire in the summer and he’s yet to sign an extension.

Ceballos has made 32 appearances for Los Blancos this season, scoring a goal and providing six assists.
