In an interview with the Muschio Selvaggio podcast, the Sion forward disclosed details about a fiery altercation he had with Mourinho while on an away trip. Balotelli acknowledged that he was subsequently kicked off the team bus due to the disagreement and had to arrange alternative transportation to make his way back home. According to GOAL, the former Italian international stated:

“Mou is not an easy guy to deal with, much like me. One time before a trip to Catania, we had an argument on the bus taking us to the airport. He made me get off the bus, and I had to return home with a car.”

During his time at Inter Milan, Mario Balotelli was coached by the former Real Madrid, Manchester United, and Chelsea boss, and played a total of 71 games.

Although Mario Balotelli did not perform as well as he should under Jose Mourinho, as a result the coach decided to bench him frequently, particularly in important matches.

Despite feeling frustrated by Mourinho's handling of him, Balotelli cannot overlook the positive influence the Portuguese coach had on his collection of trophies.
