Man United defeated Brighton on penalties in the FA Cup semi-final after the game ended in a 0-0 draw.
Roberto De Zerbi insists that the Seagulls should have won the game and that the Red Devils did not deserve to advance to the final.
"I'm very proud of my players. We can choose how to lose the game, I think this is the best way - there was only one team on the pitch," De Zerbi told BT Sport and the BBC post-match.
“If you are honest, you will say we deserved to win.
"Usually in penalties the winner is the one who doesn't deserve it. We made some mistakes in the final pass around the goal area but I'm really pleased with the performance from my players."
