Former Spurs defender Danny Rose spotted training with Non-League side

Danny Rose has gone through it all throughout his career, from Champions League finals to relegations, the left-back has now been spotted back in training.

The Leeds academy graduate joined Tottenham for £1 million in 2007, not making his debut until 2010 due to injuries.

His Premier League debut came in April 2010 in the North London derby, where he scored a stunning first-time long-range volley that would eventually winning goal of the season in the Premier League.

The goal contributed to a 2-1 win, with it being Tottenham's first victory over bitter rivals Arsenal in a decade.

It would not be until 2013/14 though that Danny Rose started to properly leave his mark on the first team, making 30 appearances in all competitions and establishing himself as a regular first-team feature.

The defender became a starter under Mauricio Pochettino, with his contributions to the team highlighted with his start in the 2019 Champions League final, which Spurs narrowly lost 2-0 to Liverpool.

Following Pochettino's sacking and Jose Mourinho's appointment in the 2019/20 season, Rose fell down the pecking order, and a conversation with Mourinho went viral as it was included in Spurs' 'All or Nothing' documentary, where Rose was complaining about his lack of playing time.

The left-back's ability was also recognised by England manager Gareth Southgate, who included him in his 2018 World Cup squad.

As for his club career, he joined Newcastle on loan in January 2020, eventually moving to Watford permanently for the start of the 2021/22 season.

He was let go at the end of that season as has been a free agent ever since.

The 32-year-old has since been spotted training at non-league club York City, in a bid to maintain his fitness levels should any clubs come knocking for his services in the coming weeks and months.

Rose can also be found occasionally doing some punditry on Sky Sports, though he has not announced his retirement from the game just yet.
