Guillermo Ochoa produces insane 'superman' save to stop Inter Milan from scoring

Guillermo Ochoa produced a moment of magic to deny Inter Milan a goal during their Serie A clash on Friday.

Salernitana earned a hard-fought point against Inter as Ochoa starred between the sticks, making a staggering 10 saves.

He produced a crucial, game-saving stop in the 64th minute to prevent Inter from taking a two-goal lead.

From a corner, Romelu Lukaku hit the bar from close range, with Ochoa finding himself deep in his own net. Stefan de Vrij struck a powerful headed that appeared destined to find the goal.

But the Mexican goalkeeper somehow stopped the ball from going in the net as he rose to his feet before punching the ball clear in a spectacular sequence.

The World Cup legend, who signed for the Italian club last December, sent social media into overdrive following his showing against Inter.

One Twitter user wrote: "Ochoa made 10 saves against Inter and helped them secure a draw. Still going strong at 38 in a top 5 league while we have no other keepers trying to test themselves in Europe... I can see him in the 2026 WC."

A second wrote: "What a save from Ochoa. Once again he proves he is THAT guy."

A third added: "10 saves vs Inter for Ochoa. Guess he’s brought his World Cup form with him."

A fourth joked: "Can someone tell Ochoa it’s not the World Cup."

Another commented: "There might not be a bigger January signing IN THE WORLD than Ochoa to Salernitana."

Inter boss Simone Inzaghi even acknowledged the 37-year-old's showing in goal as he praised the Salernitana stopper.

"I have to watch the match again, but we did well and played well," he said after the game. "There's Lukaku's crossbar, De Vrij's chance, Ochoa made great saves."

Salernitana sit in 15th place in the table with 29 points on the board, 10 points clear of the relegation zone.
