List of most fouled players in Europe's top five leagues this season

Amongst the top five leagues in Europe, a list has been released of the players who have been fouled the most, and a prominent striker has emerged as the leader.

FBref hase crunched the all-important numbers to determine the most fouled players from the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga and Ligue 1.

They've compiled a 20-player strong list of the most fouled players, which contains four stars in England's top-flight, including Crystal Palace's Wilfried Zaha.

The Ivory Coast winger is ranked eighth, having been fouled 71 times, ahead of teammate Jordan Ayew, Manchester City's Jack Grealish and Brentford's Ivan Toney.

But they are all behind Vinicius Junior who is the most fouled player across Europe's major leagues. The Real Madrid man has been fouled a staggering 110 times - the only player to hit the three-digit mark.

Mattia Zaccagni, Isaac Palazon Camacho, Teji Savanier and Isaac Success are ranked second, third, fourth and fifth respectively.

Mountain El Idrissy, LucasRobertsone, the aforementioned Zaha and Ayew, and Jonas Hector make up the top ten.

Kouadio Kone, Enes Unal, Sergi Darder, Grealish, and  Toney are ranked 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th respectively.

Jude Bellingham, Arnaud Nordin, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Neymar and Randal Kolo Muani complete the 20-player list.

Vinicius Jr is enjoying another stellar campaign following a sensational term last season, where he scored 22 goals in all competitions.
He's on course to break his scoring record from last season as he has 21 goals to his name this campaign.

The 22-year-old is lighting up the Spanish league, but he isn't a fan of the officiating, having criticised referees for failing to issue cards to opponents who repeatedly foul him.

"Referees don't give fouls and they don't give yellow cards," he said last month. "Players can foul me 15 times and, when the game is in the 88th minute, the referee gives a yellow.

"Players have to think of a way to stop me, and, by [committing fouls], it becomes very easy for them.

"I don't judge the players, but I judge the referee because they have to apply the rules correctly."
