The match saw Juan Cuadrado open the scoring with a neat finish inside the box in the 83rd minute, before Lukaku levelled the score from the spot in the dying moments of the game. Lukaku's celebration involved him gesturing in front of the home fans, who had subjected him to vile abuse.

After scoring for his team, he received a second yellow card, and soon after, scorer Cuadrado and Inter captain Samir Handanovic were also sent off, following the final whistle, due to an altercation on the pitch. The unsightly scenes tainted the Italian Cup semi-final first-leg tie in Turin.
Following the match, Roc Nation Sports International, the agency representing Lukaku, released a statement denouncing the 'racist' abuse. The statement stated, "The racist comments directed at Romelu Lukaku by Juventus fans in Turin tonight were reprehensible and unacceptable."
After Romelu scored a penalty late in the game, he was subjected to abhorrent and repugnant racist abuse before, during, and after the penalty. Romelu celebrated the goal in the same manner he has previously done, but the referee deemed it appropriate to give him a yellow card.
Juventus owes Romelu an apology, and I anticipate the League to immediately denounce the behaviour of this group of Juventus supporters. The Italian authorities should utilize this opportunity to combat racism instead of penalizing the abuse victim. I believe that the footballing community shares this viewpoint.
The second leg is set to take place on April 26 at the San Siro. Who do you think will advance to the final? Let us know.
