Watch: Romelu Lukaku forced to separate two Inter Milan players in training ground fight

A bust-up between two Inter Milan players could prove to be an unwanted disruption ahead of their Champions League quarter-final against Benfica.

The Italian giants go into Wednesday night's crucial second leg clash with a healthy two-goal advantage thanks to goals from Nicolo Barella and Romelu Lukaku.

But a strong Benfica side, who currently sit top of the Primeira Liga after 28 games, will no doubt prove to be tough opposition for I Nerazzurri as they try and seek revenge.

Inter are sizeable favourites coming into the game, although footage from an Inter Milan training session ahead of Wednesday's game will give them hope.

As you can see in the footage above, Milan players were taking part in a rondo when goalkeeper Andre Onana dived in with a late challenge on Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozovic.

Moments later and Brozovic appeared livid with his teammate, kicking a towel in disgust.

It looked like the pair would clash when they squared up to each other, but Romelu Lukaku sprinted over to separate both players and eventually, the Belgian forward managed to calm Brozovic down.

Danilo D'Ambrosio, the 34-year-old defender who has been at Inter since 2014, also played his part as peacekeeper.

Inter Milan also come into Wednesday's Champions League game with the disappointment of Saturday's shock defeat to Monza in their heads.

Simone Inzaghi, however, is confident ahead of Benfica, although he realises it will be a "complicated" fixture.

“We know it’s the second half of a very important tie, we start with an advantage but we know the quality of the opponent," Inzaghi said in his pre-match press conference.

“It will be complicated and we will have to be good. Knowing that we could be in the top 4 in Europe would be a great goal.

“We know our path in the cups has been strong and we know that in the league we are not in the position in the table that we wanted at the beginning of the season. Now our focus is the match tomorrow night.

“We’ll have to play a game in the best possible way against an opponent of great quality, who like Inter are down in terms of results but not in performances. Benfica had lost two games in one year, now they’ve lost three in a week.”
