Wrexham Owner Ryan Reynolds Settles the Messi vs Ronaldo Debate with Honest Verdict on the GOAT

It's possible that Reynolds and McElhenney, owners of Wrexham, have expressed interest in the competition to sign Lionel Messi.

Over the past two decades, Messi and Ronaldo have been instrumental in shaping the world of football, setting new records, and propelling each other to unprecedented heights. However, both players are now nearing the end of their incredible careers.

Last week, Mirror Football reported exclusively that Messi is expected to depart from Paris Saint-Germain during the upcoming summer transfer window.

As there are likely to be many interested parties vying for the Argentine superstar's signature, the Wrexham proprietors have playfully expressed their personal choice for which player they would prefer to see join their team - Messi or Ronaldo:

"Messi," American actor McElhenney firmly told Sports Illustrated in 2022. "I like his size," he hilariously replied when asked why. Fellow co-owner Reynolds agreed, with the Canadian adding: "I was going to say the same thing."

However, Reynolds ensured to emphasize:"I do not sleep on Ronaldo. They're both unbelievable athletes. But I think I'd also take Messi. Gareth Bale wasn't an option, no?"

Although Reynolds and McElhenney have captured the admiration of numerous individuals globally through their endeavors, it's improbable that Messi or Ronaldo would contemplate joining Wrexham.

Nevertheless, this doesn't diminish the aspirational character of the two Hollywood celebrities.
