'Better than bloody Weghorst': Mark Goldbridge wants Martial to play as striker till season ends

Manchester United must make the best of the available striker options as they fight to retain a Champions League spot before 2022/23 ends.

The Red Devils must win all the remaining games to avoid slipping to Liverpool, who are just one point behind.

Our shortage of options up top continues to be a concern though. Anthony Martial's season has been blighted with injuries while Wout Weghorst, who arrived on loan in January, has not scored a single goal in the Premier League.

However, The United Stand host and super fan Mark Goldbridge reckons Martial must start all of our games till the end of the term - provided, he stays fit.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Goldbridge explained: "I'll tell you right now, I want Martial to start every game between now and the end of the season for two reasons.

"One, if he's gonna go, if he scores a few goals his value might go up. But two, he is better than bloody Weghorst. And I prefer Rashford on the wing, and we've got nobody else.

"So whatever I think about Martial, I'm begging that he stays fit and he plays every game, because we'll be a better team with him."
