Bukayo Saka Set to Sign Lucrative New Deal Before End of Season

Arsenal are reportedly hoping to announce Bukayo Saka’s lucrative new contract before the end of the season.

The Gunners have made it a priority in tying the 21-year-old down to a new deal with the winger set to become a free agent in 2024.

talkSPORT understands that the England international agreed to a new £300K-a-week salary until 2028 earlier this year.

It would make the Hale End graduate, who has been eyed up by Premier League title rivals Manchester City, the club’s highest-paid player.

And according to PA Sport, an official announcement on Saka’s contract extension could take place before the conclusion of the current campaign.

The report adds that only the finer details are being ironed out, with promotional footage to accompany the statement already filmed.

Saka has been instrumental in Arsenal’s title tilt – chipping in with 24 goal contributions in 35 top flight matches.

He is the only player in the Premier League this term to amass double digits for goals [13] and assists [11] this term.

In total, the 2020 FA Cup winner has missed just an hour of league action, with the youngster starting all-but one game.

With just three matches left to play, Arsenal need leaders City to drop points if they wish to end their quest for a first Premier League title since 2004.

But Saka has vowed that he and his teammates will fight until the end with Arsenal buoyed by recent wins over Chelsea and Newcastle.

He said: “We are going to fight to the end. I am really confident, of course, in the team [to keep this momentum going].

“We had a tough last month, but we are back with two wins on the spin.

“We are going to give everything in these last three games and see where that leaves us at the end.

“It was a really high-intensity game [at Newcastle].

“We really gave everything from minute one to 96, because we needed to.”
