Fans convinced Hakim Ziyech ‘hates Chelsea’ after footage of chat with Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag

Football fans are convinced Hakim Ziyech 'hates' Chelsea after images showed him enjoying a friendly exchange with his former boss Erik ten Hag.

It came after the Blues’ 4-1 thrashing at Manchester United at Old Trafford on Thursday – their eighth defeat in ten league games.

Goals from Casemiro, Anthony Martial, Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford settled matters for the Red Devils with Joao Felix pulling one back for Chelsea.

Morocco international Ziyech, was introduced with eight minutes remaining and it didn’t take him long to put his stamp on the game, providing the assist for the on-loan Portuguese star.

Ziyech used his cameo appearance to show prospective suitors what he is capable of after what has been a miserable domestic campaign for him.

The winger performed admirably for his country at the World Cup but a failed loan switch to Paris Saint-Germain in January saw a change in his demeanour.

Ziyech has been handed flashes of game time since Chelsea made a hash of his move across the channel and has impressed on occasion, despite but used sparingly.

But some Chelsea fans did not like what followed after the full-time whistle at Old Trafford with Ziyech seen enjoying a laugh and joke with the Manchester United boss.

The pair previously worked together at Ajax and still clearly enjoy a good relationship if the images are anything to go by.

After yet another defeat for the Blues, fans were quick to judge with winger's true feelings towards the west London club.

Viewers also picked up on the Moroccan’s decision to swap shirts with United defender Tyrell Malacia before heading down the tunnel and choosing not to acknowledge the club’s travelling supporters.

Fans took to social media after the game to give their thoughts on Ziyech’s on-screen catch up with Ten Hag.

One Manchester United fan said: "Ziyech grabbing Malacia’s shirt and going straight down the tunnel after a little chat with Ten Hag killed me he actually hates Chelsea."

“Well he was supposed to win the French league with PSG this season but somehow trapped at 12th in PL with Chelsea. No wonder he’s like that,” wrote another.

One tweeted: “Don’t blame him tbh. World Cup star to holding bench for Mudryk”

And a fourth simply wrote; “He is not happy at Chelsea.”

It appears that Ziyech has washed his hands with the club and will move on this summer following in a bid to relaunch his career.

PSG could still reignite their interest in Ziyech this summer with the club ready to launch a huge summer shake up.
