Klopp Injured: Pulls Hamstring Celebrating Jota's Last-Minute Winner Against Spurs

While celebrating Diogo Jota's late winner against Tottenham, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp pulled his hamstring as he rushed over to the fourth official.

The match on Sunday will be remembered as one of the most entertaining games of the 2022/23 season.

It was a case of déjà vu for Ryan Mason's Tottenham Hotspur when Liverpool took a commanding 3-0 lead in the opening 15 minutes.

Curtis Jones, Luis Diaz, and a penalty scored by Mohamed Salah secured a lead for Liverpool, which led some of the Tottenham Hotspur fans to leave the stadium, similar to what had happened when Newcastle United scored five goals against Spurs the previous week.

However, Tottenham Hotspur deserves credit for displaying remarkable fighting spirit after falling three goals behind.

Harry Kane and Son Heung-min, as they have done numerous times before, ignited the comeback for Tottenham Hotspur.

In the 93rd minute, former Everton striker Richarlison appeared to have secured a point for Spurs by scoring a header past Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson.

However, seconds later, a misplaced pass by Lucas Moura landed at the feet of Diogo Jota, who then scored the winning goal past Fraser Forster, sending Anfield into a frenzy.

As Jota celebrated his goal, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp ran towards the fourth official, seemingly to express his thoughts on a decision made earlier in the game.

During his sprint towards the fourth official, Klopp pulled his hamstring, but he still managed to hobble down the touchline to join his backroom staff in celebrating the dramatic victory.

Despite experiencing discomfort and clutching the back of his leg, the German manager went to The Kop to deliver his customary fist pumps. However, they were slightly more restrained than usual due to Klopp's hamstring injury.

Here's how Twitter reacted to the scenes.

One said: "Jurgen Klopp pulling his hamstring and getting booked while celebrating in front of the Tottenham dugout might be the funniest thing I've seen in football. Karma."

A second wrote: "That's genuinely two of the funniest minutes of football I've seen. Klopp doing his hamstring just topped it all off. Incredible stuff,"

A third added: "Klopp pulling a hamstring celebrating is wonderful. They should have used it as time-wasting. Stop the match to get the medics out to treat him."

Thoughts on Klopp's antics in the final moments of Sunday's game?
