Liverpool's Thiago Alcantara Spotted on Crutches Ahead of Crucial Leicester Clash

Ahead of Liverpool's match against Leicester, midfielder Thiago Alcantara was seen using crutches, though not in the expected location.

The Reds have been on a six-game winning run in the Premier League, propelling them back into the race for Champions League qualification under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp.

Liverpool, who have played one more game than Erik ten Hag's team, are only one point behind fourth-placed Manchester United in the table.

A month ago, securing a top four finish seemed unlikely, but United's recent drop in form has given the Merseyside club a chance to make a comeback. They are now poised to capitalize on any possible slip-ups by their rivals.

However, they will be without the experienced Thiago for the run-in, who has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a hip injury.

Although his injury hasn't stopped him from joining his teammates on a relaxing break in Barcelona, after the players were afforded some valuable time in the sun due to their extended gap between games.

Liverpool confirmed Thiago would miss the remainder of the campaign earlier this month, with the Spaniard required to undergo surgery.

A video circulated on social media showing the 32-year-old on crutches leaving the teams' hotel in Barcelona, posing for photos with fans.

Thiago is reportedly ready to hit the ground running at pre-season training, with the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich star seemingly a part of Klopp's future plans.

He is approaching the final year of his current contract, with a degree of uncertainty looming over a new deal, with the midfielder not getting any younger.

But Thiago's commitment to travelling with the rest of his teammates would suggest a new contract could be on its way.
