Pep Guardiola and Man City staff tease Real Madrid with ‘four’ celebration

Pep Guardiola was quick to rub Manchester City’s success in the face of Real Madrid with a cheeky celebration on Instagram.

City have reached the Champions League final following their 4-0 thumping of reigning champions Madrid on Wednesday night.

Guardiola and co. will face Inter Milan in Istanbul in June in the hopes of winning the illustrious competition for the first time ever.

The victory was one that saw the Spaniard get one over Madrid once again following his hugely successful stint at rivals Barcelona.

So much so that in a now deleted post on Instagram from City staff member Manuel Estiarte, he was pictured alongside colleagues and friends with four fingers held up.

The gesture points towards the number of goals they put past Madrid in what was a superb performance at the Etihad Stadium.

Such a celebration is one that Guardiola has seen before, this time from one of his former players Gerard Pique.

When Barcelona thrashed Madrid 5-0 in 2010, the former centre-back held up five fingers to the rival fans.

He repeated this during other stages of his career, with Guardiola clearly taking note following Wednesday’s victory.

City were more than deserved victors in their semi-final clash against 14-time Champions League winners Madrid.

Bernardo Silva scored twice in the first half to put them in control, before further goals from Manuel Akanji and Julian Alvarez sealed the deal.

Their 5-1 aggregate win has therefore taken them to the final where they will face Inter Milan in Istanbul next month.

City are one victory away from winning the Premier League, and also face rivals Manchester United in the FA Cup final in the coming weeks.

A Champions League triumph could therefore seal a remarkable treble, a deserved reward for their almighty efforts this season.
