Revealed: Messi and Lewandowski's Conversation at the Laureus World Sports Awards

Lionel Messi made history last night by becoming the first footballer to receive the Laureus Sportsman of the Year award twice, following his exceptional performance with Argentina at the 2022 FIFA World Cup held in Qatar.

Despite being in the limelight lately, owing to his future plans, as his contract with PSG ends this season, the 35-year-old former Barcelona captain has been rumored to return to his former club.

During the Laureus World Sports Awards, Lionel Messi was spotted having a conversation with Barcelona's superstar Robert Lewandowski, just before the ceremony began, which sparked curiosity and enthusiasm among the fans.

Interestingly, a camera nearby captured a snippet of their interaction, creating further buzz around their meeting.

Mundo Deportivo reported that during the portion of the conversation that was caught on camera, Lionel Messi and his wife, Antonela Roccuzzo, enquired about Robert Lewandowski's experience of living in Barcelona.

Messi initially said to Lewandowski: “Is everything alright at Barcelona?” In response, the Barcelona striker said: “Yeah, good.”

Messi’s wife Antonela Roccuzzo then chimed in and said: “They [Lewandowski and his wife] are in love with the city.”

Following that, the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner asked Lewandowski “Do you live in Castelldefels?” and received an affirmative response.

Following La Liga's apparent approval of Barcelona's economic viability plan to re-sign Lionel Messi, the possibility of his return to the club appears promising.

This development has sparked excitement among fans, who are eagerly anticipating the prospect of seeing Messi and Robert Lewandowski teaming up on the pitch. The thought of their collaboration has undoubtedly left supporters salivating at the potential of what could be a deadly attacking force.
