Wrexham Manager Excluded from Promotion Party in Vegas by Reynolds and McElhenney

Phil Parkinson, the manager of Wrexham, has confessed that he hasn't been included in the Red Dragons' promotion festivities in Las Vegas and will remain at home. He stated that he didn't "make the cut."

After winning the National League title and securing promotion to League Two, Phil Parkinson's team will play in the Football League for the first time in 15 years. The club, located in North Wales, is owned by the Hollywood pair of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

Since being purchased by Reynolds and McElhenney, Wrexham has gained global attention, and they are already being touted as one of the top contenders for automatic promotion to League One in the upcoming season.

The team members, on the other hand, will celebrate with an all-expenses-paid journey to Las Vegas, courtesy of the owners, before the season begins. However, it should be noted that the manager, Parkinson, will not be present.

“I didn’t make the cut for the Vegas trip, unfortunately,” the Englishman told Sky Sports. “We’ll leave that one to the lads and hopefully they will come back in one piece. I’m sure they will.”

The men's and women's teams of Wrexham were honored with an open-top bus tour this week to commemorate their title victories. The women's team, which was promoted to the highest tier of women's football in Wales, the Adran Premier, was among them.

Parkinson hailed the celebrations, adding:

“This is what it's all about. You kind of dream of the open-top bus celebrations when you've got promotion, you dream of lifting trophies. There's so much work that goes in, throughout the whole football club to bring success.

“This has been a real team effort. Not just the team on the pitch, but all the support staff, and everybody has played the part. Tonight is a celebration and we're going to savour every minute of it.

“The uplift in the area has been incredible and I think the people of Wrexham deserved someone to take over the club. "They probably couldn't imagine in the world of streams, it'd be Rob and Ryan but not only that, how well they've done and the plans going forward for the club as well.”
