Bayern Munich Reach Agreement in Principle with Harry Kane on Personal Terms

Bayern Munich have reportedly reach an agreement in principle with Harry Kane on personal terms, according to reports in Germany. The English striker has been linked with a move to the Bundesliga champions for several months, and it now appears that a deal is close to being finalized.

On Tuesday, news emerged that Tottenham Hotspur turned down an offer from the Bayern, which included £60 million and add-ons, for Kane, whose existing contract in North London has a remaining duration of one year.

England striker Harry Kane, who has been with Tottenham Hotspur since 2013, is said to be keen on a move to Bayern in order to win trophies. The German club have won the Bundesliga title 10 times in the last ten seasons, also has been constant challengers in the Champions League.

It's not yet clear how much Bayern will have to pay price Kane away from Tottenham with the club having slapped a price of £150 million for the forward, but Bayern are hoping to negotiate a lower fee.

According to BILD journalist Christian Falk, who says the family of Kane [his father and brother] have conducted negotiations. "The prerequisite for the transfer is now: an agreement with Tottenham," he added.

If  Bayern succeed in signing Kane, he will be the latest in a long list of top players to move to Bayern from the Premier League.

Former Chelsea coach now Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel has previously expressed his love for the Tottenham forward, Back in 2021, during his spell at Chelsea, the German coach waxed lyrically over his ability.

“If you find any coach around the world who would not like to have Harry Kane in his team, call me," Tuchel said. “I would like to speak with the guy and hear about his ideas of scoring and attacking.

“Everybody loves Harry Kane but let’s be very, very clear. He is a player for Tottenham. He has a long term contract and we will not get involved in any press conference with any disrespectful comments about that.”

The transfer is still not finalized, but it appears that Kane is on his way to Bayern Munich. If the deal goes through, it will be a huge signing for the German club.
